Subject: Ouellette Update..We have moved one step closer to Thailand!!
(Departure date update: We are now aiming for the end of August)We have officially moved out of our home and are excited to be house-sitting at a house on the MARK Centre property (Google "MARK Centre" if you are interested in knowing what that is). This is the first email from our new location!
This is an important step for us as it has helped us to downsize NOW rather than just before we leave. So, although it has been really nutty at times, we are grateful to God to be doing that now instead of later.
We are also grateful to God for you all!! A week ago today I sent out a request for help, and we were amazed at what we got!! I can't say it enough how much your help (and prayers!) encouraged us. We so needed it and appreciated it! (At the end of this email I wrote out what happened this week!).
The icing on the cake for me was having a couple people pull me aside in the midst of this FULL week and quietly let me know that they would be signing up to support us monthly. I was reminded again of a word that God has been giving me as we prepare for Thailand: "I will provide what you need, when you need it". We had absolutely no time to DO anything on raising our support this week... and yet this happens. A good reminder of Who we need to be talking & listening to about all this!
So once again, thanks! We couldn't have done it without you...
Encouraged,
Greg & Becky Ouellette

Here's what happened this past week:
Monday
- 2 incredibly faithful team members kicked things off in the morning by helping clean our house (and a little painting!) all morning
- a good friend of Becky's came over went to town on cleaning our kitchen
- one of our supporters from our church, who loves 'cutting in', painted all the walls that needed painting to be ready for our renters
Tuesday
- we met and were blessed by the testimony of one of our supporters ...who also painted all the door jams, a whole wall and then vacuumed our house.
- a good friend of Greg's stopped by and the two of us got ALL our remaining possessions into half the garage in an hour and a half! (in the midst of a crazy week for him ....preparations to head out to Zimbabwe... they are leaving as I write this)
- we had someone call us up and tell us that she wanted to clean our bathrooms for us - wow! (and brought her son who helped us pack up and move things)
- we made it! carpets were cleaned at 3:00pm.
- a (beautiful!) place was provided for us to stay till the house were moving to was ready
Wednesday
- one of the MBMSI office staff called us and came over and cleaned the remaining floors
- another good friend of Becky's came over and cleaned all the walls in the house
Thursday
- I (Greg) was beginning to feel a little weary when my brother in law showed up with a moving truck for us to use! one of our former care group leaders came over and in 15 min we loaded most of our stuff up, and unloaded it in 10min with 10 min to spare on the rental time!! (that got me energized again)
- our renters began to move a few things into the house that evening
- Emma's best friends dad came over and helped me do the last major project: lay the lino on the floor - we started at 10pm and finished that at 2:30am! He was a Godsend, because I had no idea how to do that!
Friday
- once again, those 2 faithful team members of ours came through and anchored the week by helping us move the remaining things out of the garage and into our new place Friday evening!!
Saturday - Sunday
- slowly settling in and setting up for the next two months...
...whew!
