Christmas prayer menu
Dear praying friend,
Brandon is scheduled to arrive back home on Saturday night! We are very excited to see him again and to be together as a family for 17 days! Pray for a great time. Also, we will have the 3 MBMS International English teachers plus one other Canadian over for a few days during the Christmas season. We plan to have turkey!
Struggles
Mr. "N" went has been in a psychiatric hospital the last week. He was just so down that his family made him go. I talked to him yesterday and he is feeling much better. He mentioned that it must be because I was praying. Please continue to pray for complete healing and assurance of salvation. It will be an uphill battle for him to follow Jesus – even just for him to want to.
Mrs. "I" has kind of "dropped of the face of the earth." The couple from our church that have been witnessing to her think her family and friends have talked her out of her new found faith. Satan works hard to come and take away the word from people’s hearts. Let’s keep praying.
Heart Surgery Update
Chiaki’s mother came through surgery fine, but later developed pneumonia. She is basically over that, but her body is struggling with accepting the parts that were installed. She has begun rehabilitation. Continue to pray that through this Chiaki’s whole family will come to Christ.
Leaving CarTown
Mrs. Aoyama, one of our most recent believers, told us that her husband is being transferred to another part of Japan. In 3 months they will be gone. Why Lord? (Sorry we are not that spiritually mature yet that we don’t ask why.) It is a major disappointment as she was very eager to share her faith with her husband and friends. We had anticipated seeing some of them come to Christ in the coming years.
Christmas Events.
Please pray for a powerful moving of God’s Spirit in and through each of us who serve and in the lives of those who attend. We are trusting the Lord to lead people to Himself for restoration, healing, and salvation.
- Dec. 15: Children’s Christmas. We have over 50 kids registered so far! A good number of parents will attend too. Pray that several will begin a new life with Jesus and get connected to our body of believers. Our church children and SS teachers will do a puppet show, sing songs, do games, etc. Sean will play trumpet and do some illusion tricks. We’ll also have some cake.
- Dec. 16pm: Christmas Dinner Party: (Two turkeys and several hams in the freezer!) This is our family’s gift to our church people. Pray that their non-Christian family members will attend and sense the presence and love of God through His people.
- Dec. 22pm: Christmas Concert. We have two Christian marimba musicians coming. Ask the Lord to send us a full house of people and to use the musicians’ testimonies to lead people to Jesus.
- Dec. 23am: Christmas Worship Service: We will have special music and a potluck meal and fellowship time in the afternoon. We ask you to pray that God will draw near to us His people and bless us as He knows best as we celebrate the greatest gift of all time!
- Dec. 24pm. Candle Light Service: A short program of readings and carol singing will be followed by eating Japanese Christmas cakes. May the mood touch many and cause them to long for more of Jesus in their lives.
