Hieberts in Canada

Dear Praying Friend,

Moving right along

In less than 5 months we plan to be back in Japan! We have mixed feelings about that. For years we have looked forward to this one-year MINA/Study Leave. Each of us came here with so many things we hoped to do. Yes, we have enjoyed many of those, but it looks like we won't be able to do them all. But we are having fun!

On the other hand, we really miss our church people and the ministry that God has given us there. Last Sunday we called the church at the end of the worship service and were able to visit with a good number of them! Pastor Kurokawa and the leaders are making decisions and plans for this year. It will be exciting to go back and join them again and enjoy what God desires to do in and through our church.

I just finished another major assignment that I have been working on in December and January. Now I start on the next course happening in early March – the last course for my study program! Pray for great learning and perseverance.

 

Needs

We are pleased that our support level is coming up as new people have started supporting us. Others are thinking about it. So we are optimistic. We still are short and ask you to pray with us that it will all come in.

Join us in praying that God will provide 2 or 3 ESL teachers for Japan. Perhaps you know someone who would love to serve Jesus and the Japanese people. Let us know. It'll be a stretch to give and give, but God will never be undone. He will bless and honour those who walk with Him humbly and make sacrifices for His Kingdom.

 

Plans

Starting tomorrow I will be serving in four BC churches in February. I look forward to weekend ministry plus weekday meetings. Pray that this ministry will honour God, build stronger relationships with our churches and excite them about God's Kingdom work in Japan. (see our schedule below).
