Gord and Sylvia Medford (and James!) have moved to Lac Le Jeune, southwest of Kamloops.  Their house is underway, but about 1-1/2 months behind schedule (according to Gord) owing to extra site preparation (fill) and the usual contractor/permit delays.

The roof is being installed today (Oct. 18/06), and windows/doors should be done by next week.  Gord and Sylvia are trying to beat the clock, and occupy the house (in some fashion!) before the weather hampers completion.

See area map for approximate location, or a more detailed closeup.  Here are some photos of the house as of October 18, 2006.

House, hydro-seeding (ie. sprayed grass).

Here is the BIG picture, a panorama from the southeast (?) corner of the site.
There is a full basement under the house (except for the garage portion).
The workshop (to the right) will likely not be used for parking vehicles,
other than Gord's new ATV!

Follow-up, June, 2007

Here are some recent photos of the house (thanks Nathan!). Gord, Sylvia and James are finally in!  Actually, they have been in for several months now, I think, but the experience has been expensive (cost over-runs) and frustrating (delays), according to Gord.  Now I hope they can put their feet up (at least mentally) and enjoy the house and the area.  Gord has a new ATV (all terrain vehicle) - I hope there is many trails to explore! Sylvia is volunteering with the community water distribution organization and is quite busy with that.

A view of the front. A bit different from before!

The back side. Gord, where do you hitch the horse?
